With its plain of more than 2,000 monuments, this jewel of Burmese art offers plenty of choice, sometimes disrupting newcomers. I love Sulamani, one of the most impressive temples, a 12th century masterpiece surrounded by shrubs. The interior, which is also visited, contains sculptures of Buddhas and murals. Do not forget to take off your shoes before entering each place.
